Wednesday, July 8th is Miller WOW Wednesday. It is Track Day at Miller Motor Sports Park. We will spend the evening with our Miatas on the track from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We will meet approximately 3:45 PM in Salt Lake at 900 West and 2100 South at the Flying J Truck Stop in the southwest corner.

It is just off of Hwy. 201 at 900 West. We want to get out to the track by 4:30. If you need to come later because of work, don't worry, just come out and start when you get there. It is a 3 Hour Run and costs $20.00 per car. During the 3 hour run you get to do between 12 to 16 laps, depending on the number of other cars. Only a few cars are allowed on the track at one time and cars are paced far enough apart to be safe. Once on the track, they slow you down by having you go through cone stations that are off of the line of the track. You slow down before curves and go faster on the straight-aways. There will be a brief meeting about Track Safety. The only requirement is a Helmet. The track also rents helmets. There is also an optional Autocross Course for $1 per run. The Davis family runs their cars out there frequently. There will be other cars in line with us, from Porsches, Subarus to Honda Fits. Sometimes there are about 60 cars in 3 lines of 20 cars each. The runs move smoothly. Depending on your comfort level, speeds can be from 30 mph to 100 mph, any speed you are ready to go. The Davis family will also give us tips on how to maneuver our vehicles on the track. It sounds like lots of fun.
